Employers are increasingly using applicants credit histories in determining our job future. There is no federal law that prohibits discrimination based on a bad credit report, however, there is detailed information contained in a credit report that an employer may not like, or agree with. Employer could decide not to hire an employee, or fire an employee for another reason when the root cause was from some information learned from the credit report.
